DorieDorie is a paralegal in the Estate Planning & Administration areas at Zell Law. Before joining Zell Law, Dorie worked at the Pesner Kawamoto Law Group where she coordinated all aspects of the Estate Planning and Probate Practice. She is proficient in various estate planning software including fiduciary accounting and tax return preparation programs.

She worked in a number of paraprofessional and administrative positions, including her first legal job in the Office of the General Counsel at The Maritime Commission, interning with Helen Bentley. Enjoying the legal field, Dorie worked for 16 years with Jack L. Lewis, a partner and founder of the law firm, Tucker, Flyer & Lewis, where she managed the corporate and business technology practice. Next, Dorie worked closely with Karen G. Loulakis in her estate planning practice for eight years. Her focus on estate planning stems from a firm belief in protecting clients and their families from the devastating effects that often accompany death.

At Zell Law, Dorie serves as a reliable client service administrator and contact to enable clients to receive the highest quality personal attention and follow-up service.  She brings with her expertise in Estate and Trust Administration, recognizing from personal experience how difficult it is to lose a loved one, and striving to work closely with clients, guiding them through the sometimes difficult probate administration process, while remaining sensitive to the client’s needs.

When not helping out at Zell Law, Dorie manages to keep herself involved in numerous community and charitable organizations. She is a High School Youth Leader at her church, is a member of the Angel Tree Ministry and library committee at church, volunteers with the High School Band Booster Club, has supported two underprivileged children for five years  (one from Brazil and one from Mexico), participated in foreign exchange program by housing a student from Spain and a student from Korea, and is a member of Young Widow’s Group, helping to plan activities and counsel and encourage new widows.
