Bonnie Humphrey is the Director of Estate Planning at Zell Law, responsible for overseeing estate planning and fiduciary services provided to the firm's clients and for anticipating and developing ways to enhance the firm's client relationships. Bonnie's more than thirty-five years of experience in the wealth management field has given her insights into all stages of the wealth planning process, from the first identification of the client's needs through to the actual implementation and administration of a carefully thought out and developed plan.
As a practicing attorney, her clients have included closely-held business owners, trust and estate beneficiaries, cross-border clients, special need families and philanthropic institutions. Her approach is client-centric, recommending the practical, workable, and tax-efficient solutions appropriate for the client's needs.
After years of client-centered drafting and planning experience, Bonnie used those experiences when asked to take on the development and management of a de novo trust company. She continues to work to integrate the best practices of fiduciary management into her client representation, making sure that a client's wishes can be efficiently and effectively executed.
Bonnie recognized the importance of integrating the planning depth of the Certified Financial Planner program and has worked to incorporate its holistic approach into her estate planning practice. She is also experienced in a broad range wealth management issues, including income tax and retirement planning and the fiduciary obligations of investment advisors.
Bonnie's outside activities include board memberships on theatre and arts organizations. As a former Naval officer, she is proud to continue to support the US military as a board member of Honor Flight Savannah, a program dedicated to providing no-cost trips to Washington, D.C. so that veterans of all branches may visit the monuments dedicated to their service.
